Adoption Advocates International (AAI) was established in 1983 in Port Angeles, WA. The founders envisioned an adoption agency that would serve children in need of adoptive families, with a special emphasis on children particularly in need of assistance because of special needs, age, or the need to be placed in sibling groups.

AAI is a 501(c)(3) organization that is Hague-accredited. We have several international programs in Africa (Ethiopia, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Uganda) and Asia (China, Thailand, Republicof Georgia) as well as a Washington State Foster/Adopt program for Washington families. We also provide homestudy and post-placement services for families living in Washington state.
