Why Choose Dillon?
Dillon is committed to:

  • Helping you find answers so that you are confident you’re making the right decision. Being transparent so you can trust us.
  • Being available to help in a timely manner.
  • Keeping you informed about the process.
  • Assisting you through the difficult waiting times.
  • Continuing to help you long after the adoption is complete.

Lifetime Commitment: Every family has unique needs. So does every child we serve. At Dillon, we are committed to a lifetime of services, from pre-adoption education to helping you through the transition period of welcoming a new child into your home. After the adoption, we are committed to helping you with counseling, heritage camps for teens, birthland tours and birth-family searches.

A Solid Foundation: Our agency has been helping find families for vulnerable children since 1972. In that time, more than 6,000 children have come home to loving families.

Experienced Staff: Our social workers and counselors are experienced with all the paperwork associated with adoption. More than that, they’re intimately aware of the emotional issues associated with adoption. Many of our staff members have adopted children or are adult adoptees themselves. With Dillon, you can feel confident knowing that you are not alone in this journey. Dillon’s caring staff will be with you every step of the way.

Our History

Dillon International was founded by Jerry and Deniese Dillon in 1972 to meet the needs of the thousands of vulnerable Korean orphans. Throughout our history, Dillon International has been actively involved in establishing intercountry adoption standards and policies both in the United States and abroad. The agency has helped to establish adoption programs in several countries, including a model foster care program in Korea. Each participating country in the agency’s adoption program has invited Dillon International to help find homes for their vulnerable children.

Since our beginning, Dillon International has placed over 6,000 children from developing countries with loving, adoptive families in the United States. Several hundred additional children have been placed with families in their country of birth as a result of Dillon’s efforts. In addition, Dillon International has helped to underwrite hospitals, orphanages and schools in Korea, India, China, and most recently in Vietnam.

Post-Adoption Services

Dillon sets itself apart with a commitment to heritage camps, birthland tours, birth-family searches and counseling. These services are open to all families, whether Dillon was the placing agency or not. Our services do not end when an adoptive child comes home. We are with families for the duration of their adoption journey.
